Salman Khan 'Ready' Tune Twists

The initiative taken by 3rd Rock Entertainment in association with Provogue India and Agni CZ Jewels witnessed Salman Khan in his element, as he ribbed and took potshots jovially at his targets. Six models sporting outfits from the Spring Summer Live 2011 collection sashayed to the Ready number character dheela hai… and as the music dimmed out… the decibels suddenly went into overdrive as the volatile Khan showed up!
Salman was all gung ho over the 'Ready Live Mad Concert' stating, "It has the word 'mad' in it, because I want people to go mad at the concert and enjoy themselves to the fullest. Bhushan Kumar and T series are also promoting and giving a chance to new talent."
Added Salman tongue in cheek, "In fact, all the auditions of the female singers are being done by Bhushan Kumar himself."
Taking a friendly barb at Pritam, present at the venue, Salman said that he was glad that 'Ready's music was "original", demanding to know whether character dheela or dhinke chika was the "bigger hit". Khan stated naughtily, "I wonder why people feel that character dheela has something to do with my character! Actually, it says a lot about the person who wrote it and the person who composed the song on it."
Admitting that the number was "inspired" from a South number ringa ringa, Salman said, "When I heard ringa ringa, I was sure that I wanted this song number for Ready. Dhinke Chika has been tweaked so much to my liking that… it's almost like a song that I've composed… and Pritam does not even want any credit for it.

Ash, Madhur Unveil Heroine At Cannes

Glamsham Editorial
Cannes 2011 saw yet another splash of glamour with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhur Bhandarkar and Ronnie Screwvala coming together to announce their upcoming movie HEROINE. The trio was seen together for the first time to announce their association for the bold and glamorous saga, with the unveiling of the first look of the film at the prestigious film festival.
Take a look at the photocall for 'Heroine'
Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, HEROINE will star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essaying the role of a superstar. The film is scheduled to go on the floors in June this year.
After his incredible run of women-centric films from CHANDNI BAR, PAGE 3, SATTA and CORPORATE to the blockbuster FASHION, produced by UTV, Madhur Bhandarkar now turns his lens inward and presents his most ambitious work yet - HEROINE. The film is based on the life and times of a superstar heroine from the dream factory we call 'Bollywood'. The film is an entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that our film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, HEROINE will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans. It will give them a chance to go beyond the gorgeous smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of India's sweethearts - The sniping and the politics, the secrets and the lies, the incredible highs of fame and the lonely depths of failure. This is the film Bhandarkar has been subconsciously preparing for ever since he joined the industry and one which he considers his magnum opus.
Talking about the film and her association with Madhur and UTV, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, "HEROINE is a film that the team was very excited about and yes I have just agreed to come on board. Madhur has been speaking to me for many years to collaborate together on a film and I am glad we are finally working together on HEROINE. He is the director of multiple award winning films in India and hence, as an actor I'm certainly looking forward to this experience. UTV and I have worked before on special work of cinema; JODHAA AKBAr and GUZAARISH, both of which have achieved incredible acclaim, appreciation and awards for us. This new venture certainly looks like a strong creative synergy and I look forward to this new journey in film".
Here's a look at Ash and Madhur launching the movie at Cannes
On this occasion, Indian National Award winning director, Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I feel delighted to announce HEROINE, my next project, at Cannes - one of the most prestigious global platforms. Unveiling the first look here is certain to be an auspicious start to the movie which goes into production mid this year. HEROINE is an extremely glamorous yet bold story of the internal journey of a star, which is sure to appeal to audiences across the globe and therefore Aishwarya was a perfect choice for the film - no one could have essayed the role better. I'm also glad that Bhandarkar Entertainment and UTV are working together again. This is our second film together and we share the same vision which makes the entire process of filmmaking very smooth."

ShahRukh Shows Off

He is as known for his irreverent humour as his six pack abs and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan showed off both in front of a house-full crowd at the India Today Conclave here today.
The 45-year-old actor spoke about ''Movies, Magic and Life'' but the conversation soon turned to his head-line grabbing physique.
When asked whether a six-pack was still "lurking behind that sharp suit", the actor quickly stood up and pulled his shirt up to give the audience a dekko at his abs.
"I don''t know whether it is a six pack, but it is definitely a four," said Shah Rukh amid applause and cat calls.
The stage was flanked by a giant image of a shirt-less Shah Rukh who confessed that he did not know how to behave at "serious events" such as the Conclave which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today.
"My wife always tells me, ''Please don''t try to be funny at serious events, please don''t speak too much''. And I am told this is a very serious event," said Shah Rukh.
In his speech, the actor took digs at the politicisation of the word ''Mumbai'' and on a more serious note spoke about communalism and Indian cinema going global.
"Indian cinema is going from Mumbai to Melrose. Though I would have preferred saying Bombay to Beverly Hills, that kind of alliteration is not allowed to Muslim actors," said Shah Rukh.
The actor went on to say that religion and politics should never be mixed and he finds communalism "low down and deplorable".
"I truly believe that politicians should not use religion as an agenda. It is just not acceptable. The issues like education, development and women''s upliftment, which are sidelined are the basic political issues which need to be looked upon," he said.
"I am a Muslim myself and I am married to a Hindu lady and my children know about all religions and its my conscious decision to make them aware of it. Religion is a personal thing and nobody in this world has the right to come between you and your God," he added.

The Relaxed Captain Is Dhoni

India''s Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the most assured, relaxed and confident captain going into the forthcoming World Cup, according to former Pakistan captain Imran Khan.
The former great said India''s biggest strength is their captain who has the respect of his players.
"He is the most assured and relaxed captain in this tournament and he has the respect of his players. He is also a very astute tactician and a matchwinner on his day," Imran said on the ''Geo Super'' channel.
Imran, who led Pakistan to the title in 1992 World Cup, said India are the clear favorites to win the title on current form. That they are one of the co-hosts only adds to it.
"On the sub-continental wickets their batting will be a powerhouse. They have two quality bowlers in Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh and have taken a very wise decision by including leg-spinner Piyush Chawla in their bowling line-up," he said.
Describing Virender Sehwag and Yousuf Pathan as two of the cleanest and most powerful hitters in the game today, Imran said the two had the potential to destroy any side.
"They have immense ability to hit the ball and once they get going it is difficult to stop them. And given the superior quality of the bats today they become a dangerous pair."
Imran, however, pointed out that Sehwag demonstrated very little foot movement and is vulnerable to the incoming ball.
"That is his only weakness because he plays the outgoing ball well as he is very good at the cut shot. But I think to contain him you need to bring the ball into his pads. Probably the best bowler against him would have been Mohammad Asif."
The former skipper felt India had so much talent at their disposal that they would find it hard to select the eleven.
"I think on the sub-continental wickets teams would be better served playing an extra bowler. In March the weather is hot and by experience I know that pitches at this time of the year are very flat in India and terrific for batting."
The cricketer-turned-politician also said that Zaheer and Harbhajan would play key roles for India.
"They are their best bowlers and I think Zaheer is in the best bowling form of his life. He has the ability to reverse swing and move the ball both ways. While Harbhajan will be crucial to India''s chances as he comes into bowl at a very crucial time and is capable of taking wickets and also containing," Imran said.
The former captain is also excited about the prospects of watching Chawla in action. "I have always believed it is essential to have a leg-spinner in one-day cricket because they are attacking bowlers. India have taken a wise decision to pick the leg-spinner and he will give them the edge over the non-Asian teams."

Secure The Children In The Event Of Death

If you fail to write a last will and testament, then who decides who receives what? Often it will not go the way you would have intended. To be positive your desires are fulfilled, you should to draw up a will.
Should you perish without creating a will it’s the state that dictates how your property is divided. The intestacy laws are applied and it could not be what you will have hoped or wished.
If your legally married or have a civil partner but no children and your property is valued at a predefined figure or less then your partner will get the total of the estate including any life assurance cover . If the property is valued above this figure and you have surviving relatives, your partner will still receive this amount, plus half of the remainder. There exists an order in which family would inherit, with existing parents positioned at the head of the list, followed by siblings and so on.
Should you have a spouse and offspring then your spouse will receive the set amount as above and half of the excess. The descendants would receive 50% of the total over the set amount right away and the remaining 50% on the death of your partner.
If you have offspring but no lawful partner, then your offspring would divide the estate. This could not be at all what you’d have wished. You could have a partner who relies on you and who you would have wished to obtain at least share of your assets, who’d get nothing.
To remove all potential doubt about your assets, however simple it may seem, you should draw up a will. There are many options for this. You could write it yourself or hire a professional will agent or a solicitor.
Often people make their own last will and testament, commonly using a template which can buy from the post office. Take care should you go along this route – it’s very simple to make a mistake and you could even find it void. The cost of having a will made, particularly a comparatively basic one, is not exorbitant and you can be sure that your desires will be realised.
A trained will agent or a solicitor will be used to processing all forms of queries and will be able to assist you. There could be questions to do with setting up trust funds and perhaps taxes.
Having constructed your will, it’s a prudent idea to inspect it on occasion, as your situation changes. If you resolve to alter it, then it’s a smart move to nullify your previous one and have it remade. If the changes are minimal, it might be easier to make a codicil to form a part of the will and to be read in association with it. Any codicil will have to be made in the same fashion as the will in regards to signatures and witnesses.
Please be aware that any health insurance will terminate on the death of the will holder and no value will be attributed to It in the will.

Android Phones

It looks like Android would quickly move past the iPhone in market share.
Android phones are officially more popular with new smart phone consumers than iPhones, according to figures that have just been released by Nielsen Company.

Microsoft unveiled a new mobile phone operating system as it seeks to regain ground lost to Apple's iPhone, Blackberry and devices powered by Google's Android software.

Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer took the wraps off nine mobile phones powered by Windows Phone 7 (WP7) at an event at a loft in New York's Chelsea neighbourhood.

Ballmer said more than 60 mobile operators around the world will offer the devices, made by South Korea's Samsung and LG Electronics, Taiwan's HTC and Dell, the US computer giant, in more than 30 countries.

"We have built a different kind of a phone," Ballmer said. "We set out to build a phone that was thoroughly modern."

US telecom carrier AT&T showed off three devices which will sell for around USD 200 in the United States, about the same price as Apple's iPhone.

Another US carrier, T-Mobile, will offer two WP7-powered devices in November.

WP7 is Microsoft's first significant update to its mobile operating system in 18 months and its release comes on the heels of the disastrous launch of a "Kin" line of phones, which were pulled from stores after just two months.

Though mobile makes up only one per cent of Microsoft's revenue, the smartphone market is growing by around 30 per cent a year and the software behemoth is determined to remain a player in the sector.
